About the Role
As a Security Officer Access Operations in Warren, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will provide attentive customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.66 / Hour
Schedule: Daytime – Wed 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Thu 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Sat 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Sun 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and issue or retrieve access badges in accordance with site requirements.
- Control entry and exit of vehicles, personnel, and materials as directed, including coordinating with receiving, shipping, and site contacts regarding deliveries and pickups.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
