Security Officer Access Entry

As a Security Officer Access Entry in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support residents and guests with professional communication and customer service. In this visible role, you will help to deter security-related incidents, respond to site needs, and use teamwork, integrity, and reliability to create a welcoming experience each day.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identity and/or authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, and/or vendors, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with property management and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related issues.
- Assist with visitor management, package and delivery procedures, and resident inquiries while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other access-related records.
Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
