Security Officer Entry Access

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location in Ontario, CA, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to associates and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting an orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify identification, credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for individuals and vehicles entering or exiting the distribution location.
• Monitor access points, gates, and visitor logs; document entries, incidents, irregularities, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
