Security Officer Access Control Operations

As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location in Newark, NJ, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will help support an organized environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and manage access points for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
