About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Portage, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing visitor badges, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with facility procedures.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation of incidents, access activity, and unusual observations while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
