About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, employee parking, business operations areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
