As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use technology to document activity, provide exceptional customer service, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
- Screen and direct inbound and outbound traffic in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access to the facility and restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Part Time Pay Rate: $21.36 / Hour
