Security Officer Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Checkpoint in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle-entry records.
• Observe inbound and outbound truck traffic, delivery personnel, and contractors in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Licenses and certifications: Guard Card or license, CPR and/or First Aid certification.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
