About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control in Waverly, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial retail and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access-control concerns.
- Assist with receiving and shipping area access procedures, including checking credentials and following site requirements for vendor, contractor, and delivery vehicle entry.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.

$19.10 / Hour
