About the role

As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication while following site procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor access records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Document observations, incidents, and access-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 / Hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
  • Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
  • Sunday: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
