Security Officer Access Authorization

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Sumter, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a secure, welcoming environment while helping to deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, patients, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting observations, incidents, and policy violations in required reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
