About the role

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial environments. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain an orderly environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Assist with controlling access for deliveries, contractors, and vendors, while supporting compliance with site rules and documenting relevant security-related activity.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
