What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with facility procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Carry out regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare facility areas and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
- Aid in maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, communicating site procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
