About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public transportation location in Seattle, WA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to riders, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, transit centers, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, assist with directing individuals to appropriate transit resources, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$29.93 / hour
Schedule
- Daytime shifts: 04:00 AM - 02:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Sunday)
