Security Guard - Transit Patrol

As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe public areas for unusual activity, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
• Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and maintaining a professional presence while working in a dynamic public transportation environment.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay and Schedule

Pay Rate: $29.93 / Hour
