What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and exterior grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity, support orderly operations, and follow post orders.
- Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and relay important information during shift changes to support continuity of operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
