Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or public agency representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and/or restricted locations, assisting with crowd flow, visitor questions, and compliance with site rules and posted regulations.
• Support daily operations by completing routine reports, communicating with supervisors and/or local personnel, and following post orders related to security-related activity and emergency situations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
