Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor entry, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency services and/or site contacts as appropriate.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation; communicate observations and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
