About the role
As a Security Guard Armed – Property Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
