Location: Bolivar, TN – Western Mental Health Institute, Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services, Hardeman County

Full-time, on-site position requiring a criminal background check and a valid motor vehicle operator's license for some roles.

Pay

$2,135.00 – $3,195.00 monthly ($25,620.00 – $38,340.00 annually). Hiring rate: $2,436.00 monthly ($29,232.00 yearly).

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school.
• Qualifying full-time law enforcement, security, or related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform security activities including patrolling facilities, monitoring alarms and security systems, checking for safety hazards, and enforcing laws and rules.
• Operate security equipment such as two-way radios, communication devices, patrol vehicles, and security surveillance tools.
• Control entrance and exit of individuals by verifying identity, purpose of visit, and authorization.
• Escort individuals to ensure safety as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate action.
• Search for and apprehend missing or unauthorized individuals.
• Report security concerns to supervisors and communicate with law enforcement agencies.
• Prepare and maintain reports including incident reports, vehicle citations, visitor logs, and personal property reports.

Driver Standards

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Driver record must not include DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than 4 moving violations in the past five years.
