Pay

$2,135.00 – $3,195.00 monthly ($25,620.00 – $38,340.00 annually)
Current approved hiring rate: $2,436 monthly

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school
• Qualifying full-time law enforcement, security, or related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required

State driver standards: for the past five years, no DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than 4 moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Perform security activities: patrol facilities, monitor alarms and security systems, check for safety hazards and violations of laws/rules
• Operate security equipment: two-way radios, communication devices, patrol vehicles
• Control entrance/exit by verifying identity, purpose of visit, and authorization
• Escort individuals to ensure safety as needed
• Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate action
• Search for and apprehend missing or unauthorized individuals
• Report security concerns to supervisor and communicate with law enforcement agencies
• Prepare and maintain reports: incident reports, vehicle citations, visitor logs, personal property reports
