About the role

Nscale is seeking a Security Construction Manager to lead the field-side delivery of physical and logical security systems across our data center construction and fit-out programs.

  • Own the implementation coordination of access control and camera infrastructure, physical security systems, and Zero Trust Network (ZTN) deployment for new site builds.
  • Translate security requirements defined by the CISO and Security organization into contractor scopes, installation accountability, and verified commissioning outcomes.
  • Ensure that security systems are installed correctly, integrated as intended, and handed over in a state that meets Nscale's operational and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary construction-phase interface between the Design & Construction team, specialist security contractors, and the Security organization.
  • Coordinate the installation, integration, and commissioning of physical security systems including access control, IP camera and CCTV infrastructure, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and visitor management hardware.
  • Manage the field-side delivery of Zero Trust Network (ZTN) implementation, coordinating with OT/IT network teams, contractors, and the CISO to ensure ZTN architecture is deployed in alignment with defined security policy and network segmentation requirements.
  • Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and installation plans for compliance with Security-approved specifications and design requirements.
  • Track security system delivery milestones within the broader construction schedule, maintaining visibility on procurement, installation sequencing, integration dependencies, and commissioning readiness.
  • Conduct regular site walks and contractor coordination meetings to validate installation progress, identify field conflicts, and ensure work quality aligns with approved designs and security standards.
  • Coordinate with the Security organization on any field-identified design gaps, scope changes, or installation issues that require security policy or specification input.
  • Coordinate and support commissioning and acceptance testing activities with the Security organization, ensuring Security participation and approval of commissioning results, system readiness, and operational turnover.
  • Maintain implementation documentation including as-built records, device inventories, commissioning test reports, punch lists, and handover packages for security systems.
  • Support multi-site delivery programs by applying consistent implementation practices and coordination workflows across EMEA, APAC, and U.S. data center construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in security systems construction, deployment, or implementation within data center, critical infrastructure, or large commercial construction environments.
  • Hands-on experience with physical access control systems, IP camera and CCTV platforms, and physical security hardware installation and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage specialist security contractors, coordinate multi-trade installation schedules, and drive punch list resolution in a construction environment.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Network concepts and the ability to coordinate field implementation activities in alignment with network security architecture without independently defining those architectures.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills with experience working across construction, engineering, and security/compliance functions simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • No specific qualifications mentioned beyond the general experience and education requirements.

Skills

  • Ability to review and interpret security system submittals, shop drawings, and specification documents, and to identify non-conformances for escalation.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills with experience working across construction, engineering, and security/compliance functions simultaneously.
