Security Commercial Offerings System Technician

Responsibilities
- Installs appropriate devices;
- Dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security;
- Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials, and cleans up installation debris;
- Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule;
- Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor;
- Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures;
- Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service;
- Reads building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required;
- Collaborates with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls;
- Manages installation teams on larger projects;
- Coaches and mentors less experienced installers.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED;
- 5+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings;
- Ability to operate hand and power tools;
- Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times;
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings, the ability to operate hand and power tools, the ability to operate fleet vehicles safely, and the ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
Skills
Strong hands-on technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematic drawings is also crucial. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.

Pay
Hiring hourly range: $26.06 - $35.82 per hour. The actual hourly rate will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
