Security Area Specialist with strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task while maintaining quality, consistency, safety, and customer service for residents and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in covering vacation, sick time, leave of absence, and last-minute shift assistance.
  • Assigned to a specific region; adhere to company policy at all assigned properties.
  • Must have reliable transportation and mobile communication.
  • While on duty, wear company-approved attire/uniform, follow dress code, and display identification badges at all times.
  • Maintain clean work area while on assignment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures; report safety issues to the Property Manager immediately.
  • Check the Fire Alarm panel to ensure it is in normal status; report any troubles in writing to the Property Manager immediately.
  • Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
  • Patrol property as required and report all issues of concern.
  • Utilize radio communications in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, inspections, reports).
  • Exchange information with other employees using two-way radio or control base radio.
  • Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Report all complaints/issues to the Director of Operations.
  • On call 24/7 for emergencies and call-outs assigned by the Director of Security, including weekends and holidays.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid Florida Security License “D”.
  • Two to three years of hospitality security experience preferred.
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
  • Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
  • Handle, finger, grasp, and lift objects and packages.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written word.
  • Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
  • Complete all required forms.
  • Possess knowledge of multi-building operations.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
  • Driving is required.

Pay

$20.00 per hour
