Responsible for quality, consistency, safety, and overall customer service presentation to residents and guests. Maintains excellent knowledge of emergency response and access control procedures, electronic security control systems, and logs, records, and forms for each building in span of control.
Responsibilities
- Assists in vacation, sick time, leave of absence, and last-minute shift coverage.
- Assigned to a specific region.
- Adheres to company policy in all assigned properties.
- Must have reliable forms of transportation and mobile communication.
- While on duty, must be in company-approved attire and/or uniform, follow the company dress code and policy, and have identification badges always displayed.
- Keeps work area clean when on assignment.
- Adheres to all safety procedures; reports any safety issues to the Property Manager immediately.
- Responsible for checking the Fire Alarm panel to ensure it is in normal status; reports any indicated troubles in writing to the Property Manager immediately.
- Follows property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disasters).
- Maintains awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Patrols property as required and reports all issues of concern.
- Utilizes radio communications in accordance with property guidelines.
- Prepares and reviews written documents (e.g., daily logs, inspections, reports).
- Exchanges information with other employees using two-way radio or control base radio.
- Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Reports all complaints/issues to the Director of Operations.
- On call 24/7 for emergencies and call-outs assigned by the Director of Security, including weekends and holidays.
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Valid Florida Security License “D”.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of hospitality security experience is preferred.
- Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
- Handle, finger, grasp, and lift objects and packages.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
- Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
- Complete all required forms.
- Possess knowledge of multi-building operations.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
- Driving is required.
