Secretary/Technician - Per Diem, Various 12 Hour Shifts, Gagnon 4 Post TAVR, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

About the Role

This position combines secretarial and patient care technician duties. The candidate will be flexible and patient-focused, assisting with both administrative tasks and patient care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Secretarial Duties:
  • Answering phones, call bells, and visitor intercom
  • Managing supply inventory and ordering, restocking supplies
  • Supply procurement
  • Preparing and maintaining patient charts
  • Tracking patient flow in and out of the unit
  • Filing as needed
  • Using EPIC software
• Patient Care Technician Duties (as directed by RN):
  • Performing EKGs
  • Obtaining vital signs and glucometer testing
  • Assisting with meals
  • Transporting patients
  • Disinfecting equipment
  • Performing activities of daily living (ADLs) such as skin care, bathing, oral hygiene, and mobility assistance

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
• BLS certification (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred)
• Prior Unit Associate or Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or medical setting (preferred)
