Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in education (or related to the subject taught) and meet the Kansas State Department of Education certification requirements for teaching Math.

Performance Responsibilities

• Participate in lesson design, formative assessment development, professional development, and overall department planning.
• Lesson planning
• Assisting in the selection and approval of instructional materials, supplies and equipment
• Student instruction
• Maintaining accurate records
• Assisting with curriculum revision when appropriate
• Supervising students in common areas of the building
• Communicating effectively with administrators, parents, and staff
• Assisting with school events
• Supporting the mission of Topeka Public Schools

Evaluation

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Topeka Public Schools Board of Education policies for certified personnel.
