About the role

Aēsop® is seeking a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver exceptional customer experiences through genuine, personalized conversations and storytelling. The role requires flexibility, weekend availability, and a commitment to Aesop’s values of meticulous care and sustainability. This is a contract position ending January 16, 2027, with no accommodation for vacation during the season. Full availability is required during specific weekend dates.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers to understand their needs and recommend products through authentic storytelling and personalized engagement.
• Craft memorable customer journeys, from warm welcome and product demonstrations to regimen building and thoughtful departures.
• Demonstrate recommended products on customers’ hands and lead them to fragrance or sink areas with confidence.
• Ensure a lasting relationship by offering full regimens, samples, and inviting customers to return.
• Uphold Aesop’s grooming and retail standards, delivering the "five senses" experience consistently.
• Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.

Requirements

• Experience working in a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality.
• A keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
• A merchant mindset that is both customer-focused and commercially driven.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
• A deep passion for selling premium products and excitement for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
• Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down stairs or ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
