Seasonal Parks & Recreation Worker – Operations/Event Staff – River City Sportsplex
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred; some college coursework and/or directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.
- Working knowledge of recreation activities; of rules of play, equipment, and techniques of various sports and recreational activities.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; to communicate effectively.
- Ability to interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and of varying ages.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the Operations/Event staff duties include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring rentals, special events, and tournaments at the complex.
- Moving goals according to field rentals schedule.
- Providing parking assistance when needed.
- Responsible for trash removal and the overall cleanliness of the facility, including restrooms.
- Providing customer service to event attendees and event staff.
- Performing light maintenance on fencing and goal netting.
- Responsible for the proper opening and/or closing procedures of River City Sportsplex.
- Performing assigned assessment reports of facility, fields, and equipment when assigned.
- Performing other work as required.
About the Facility
River City Sportsplex is a 115-acre, multi-sport athletic complex with one of the largest collections of synthetic turf fields in the United States. Our state-of-the-art facility features multiple lighted synthetic athletic fields available for year-round use by residents and tournament participants for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and many other sports.
Schedule
Shifts vary to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
