Seasonal Christmas Assistant/Driver

Schedule

Assignment dates: November 9 – December 15. This role requires availability on weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed throughout the Christmas season.

Responsibilities

• Assist with donation pickups from local collection sites
• Organize and sort donated gifts and packages
• Serve as a bell ringer when needed
• Unload deliveries filled with holiday donations and gifts
• Sort toys to help create a magical Christmas experience for children and families
• Label gift bags and prepare items for distribution
• Help set up, decorate, and break down the toy warehouse
• Assist with toy distribution and help families receive their Christmas gifts
• Lend a helping hand wherever needed to ensure a joyful holiday season

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills and team management
• Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry
• Reliable and able to work well with a team
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and experience driving a box truck
