About the role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Prime Video’s Content Localization, Understanding, and Enrichment (CLUE) organization. You will design and develop systems and infrastructures used by millions of Amazon customers worldwide, working closely with product management and senior engineering leadership. This role involves building highly scalable systems, shaping technology vision, and fostering a high-performing engineering culture focused on customer-centric solutions.

You will tackle complex system software challenges, ensuring scalable solutions that enhance customer and operational goals. Experience with web-based applications or web services at massive scale is highly applicable. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop systems and services for ingesting, processing, and distributing derivative content on Prime Video.
  • Build scalable, high-performance infrastructure supporting millions of global customers.
  • Collaborate with product management and senior leadership to define technology vision and engineering culture.
  • Solve complex system design challenges with a focus on reliability, scalability, and customer impact.
  • Contribute to full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ years of Object-Oriented Design experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Pay

Base salary range: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle). Final compensation includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
