School Services - School Occupational Therapist - $50-60 per hour

About the role

PediaStaff is seeking a School Occupational Therapist for a local contract position in Palatine, Illinois. The role supports students (K‑22) in a private school setting, providing assessments, individualized therapy plans, and interventions to promote academic, social, and physical development. The assignment is for 41 weeks, approximately 20 hours per week (2‑2.5 days per week), with flexible scheduling and the option to conduct home visits. Mileage for home visits is reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• IL OT license
• Previous experience working with children in a school based or home setting
