About the Role
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated School Occupational Therapist to support students in one elementary school near Glen Ellyn, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development. The position starts in March and runs through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities
- Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
- Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- IL OT license
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred (fieldwork counts)
Schedule
- 32 hours per week, 6-hour shifts during the day
- Full-time, combining two assignments for the year (.8 need)
- Both pull-out and push-in services
- In-person, school-based setting
- Dates: August through the end of the school year
Pay
$50–$60 per hour
