About the role
Supplemental Health Care is a national hiring partner for schools across the United States. We work with districts nationwide to hire thousands of school professionals every year. Currently, we’re hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to work at a school located in Columbia, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Interpret American Sign Language in a school setting
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and students
- Ensure clear communication between deaf and hearing individuals
- Adhere to the school district’s calendar and schedule
Requirements
- Valid South Carolina Sign Language Interpreter license/certification
- Previous experience working in a school setting or pediatric experience preferred
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Qualifications
- Sign Language Interpreter license/certification
- Experience working in a school setting or pediatric experience preferred
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of sign language and its nuances
