About the role

Empower students through communication and connection! Join Cross Country Education as a Sign Language Interpreter in the Tempe, AZ area and provide one-on-one support that helps students engage confidently in learning and school life throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate one-on-one interpreting support for students, ensuring effective communication between students, educators, and peers.
  • Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, meetings, school events, and student interactions using American Sign Language (ASL) and other appropriate communication methods.
  • Collaborate with educators and support teams to promote accessibility, student engagement, and academic success.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher required.
  • Completion of a sign language interpreter training program or equivalent education.
  • Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings.

Qualifications

Schedule
