About the role

We are seeking a School Program Coordinator to join our dedicated team at The Gardner School of Warrenville. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an environment that values passion, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, manage daily operations, and ensure a consistent flow of activities.
  • Support the Executive School Director in managing the School, adhering to all state and local regulations and The Gardner School policies and procedures.
  • Maintain classroom and playground equipment in good repair and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback.
  • Provide additional classroom support as needed, assist teachers and Team members, and ensure quality programming and a safe, productive environment.
  • Lead and teach children through all activities of the day, especially in the absence of teaching Team Members.
  • Review lesson plans to confirm alignment with curriculum standards and manage enrichment programs, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning experience for children.
  • Aid teachers in planning and implementing curriculum based on classroom observations and the goals of each child.
  • Support Team Member break schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, maintaining compliance with staffing ratios and uninterrupted program quality.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to state licensing standards and maintain required student-to-teacher ratios.

Requirements

  • Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field).
  • Have at least two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, with at least one year as a teacher or supervisor.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Schedule

(Spends approximately 50% of time in classroom to support ratios and team breaks.)

Education

Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field.
