School Program Support

Aid in opening and closing procedures, manage daily operations, and ensure consistent and smooth activity flow. Support the Executive School Director in managing the school, adhering to all state and local regulations and The Gardner School policies and procedures. Maintain classroom and playground equipment in good repair and enforce safety rules and regulations. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback.

Compliance and Licensing Standards

Maintain compliance with state licensing standards and ensure the required student-to-teacher ratios at all times. Support Team Member break schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, maintaining compliance with staffing ratios and ensuring uninterrupted program quality.

Key Responsibilities

Review lesson plans to align with curriculum standards, manage enrichment programs, and teach enrichment classes. Assist teachers in planning and implementing curriculum based on classroom observations and individual child goals. Provide additional classroom support as needed, assisting teachers and Team members to ensure quality programming and a safe, productive environment.

Education and Enrichment Program Oversight

Assist teachers in planning and implementing curriculum that reflects classroom observations and the goals of each child. Manage vendor management for enrichment programs.

Classroom and Team Member Support

Lead and teach children through all activities of the day, ensuring they have an enjoyable, well-rounded educational experience in the absence of teaching Team Members.

Qualifications

• Meet Massachusetts Rules for Child Care Director Licensing Standards for education and experience (Required).
• Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a licensed childcare with at least one year as a teacher or supervising a childcare program.

Other

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
