School Age Teacher / Bus Driver

About the Role

This part-time position combines teaching and bus driving responsibilities. You’ll implement our award-winning curriculum, foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, and safely transport children to and from area elementary schools and field trips.

Responsibilities

• Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Implement our award-winning curriculum in a way that meets each child's unique learning style
  • Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Document and share with families the important milestones in a child's day using our app
  • Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate
• Driver Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport children to/from area elementary schools and field trips in a small bus
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment
  • Complete safety checks and drills

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• NCECC certificate preferred
• Willingness to drive a 14-passenger minibus (no CDL required)
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and work while standing
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation
• BSAC training required
• Previous experience as a teacher at a licensed childcare center required

Pay

Pay rate of $16-$19 per hour. Candidates with advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.
