About the role

Under supervision, assist in planning and supervising the activities of school aged children enrolled in an extended day child care program; perform related work as required.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school; training in early childhood education is desirable.
• Experience and/or training in pre‑school or early child care programs.
• Must meet ONE of the following:
  • Two years of college (48 units),
  • A.A. Degree (or higher),
  • Passage of the CBEST exam,
  • Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.

Pay

Salary range: $19.35 – $23.45 per hour. Length of work year: School year. Employment type: Part‑time.

Schedule

Roynon Elementary: Monday–Friday, 5.2 hours per day. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:45 am – 4:45 pm. Thursday: 11:45 am – 5:45 pm.
