About the role
Provides exceptional patient scheduling and supports in-clinic care team coordination to enhance community health.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service and managing patient inquiries.
- Schedules appointments, follow-ups, and in-room visits to support continuity of care.
- Conducts proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments and manages patient waitlists.
- Monitors provider schedules for gaps and collaborates with care team members to optimize appointments.
- Maintains expertise in clinic workflows, documentation, and scheduling standards.
- Communicates appointment details clearly and documents activities in electronic health records.
- Supports quality improvement initiatives related to scheduling and access.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; clinical or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, computer skills, and ability to multitask.
