About the role

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to join their team. They are dedicated to improving radiology services and enhancing patient care through innovative approaches.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and handles calls professionally and promptly
• Maintains positive interactions with patients, referring offices, and team members
• Schedules patient examinations according to company policy
• Obtains and records appropriate personal, financial, and insurance information accurately
• Enters patient data into information systems completely and accurately
• Advises patients of financial responsibilities, necessary preparations, and transportation arrangements
• Communicates scheduling changes to technologists to ensure patient satisfaction
• Maintains an up-to-date database of current and potential referring physicians
• Provides backup coverage for front office team members as needed
• Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate departments or associates (St. Louis Park only)
• Pre-certifies exams with patient’s insurance company as required
• Verifies insurance for same-day add-ons
• Uses knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures requiring waivers to obtain authorization if needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Proficiency with computer systems and typing
• Able to handle a multi-level phone system with a high volume of calls
• One (1) year customer service experience preferred
• Medical terminology and previous clinical business office experience preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred

Pay

DailyPay implementation is contingent upon initial set-up period.

Schedule

Full-time position working 40 hours per week, shifts from 10:00am-6:30pm.
