Job Summary
About the role
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to join their team. They are dedicated to improving radiology services and enhancing patient care through innovative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Answers phones and handles calls professionally and promptly
- Maintains positive interactions with patients, referring offices, and team members
- Schedules patient examinations according to company policy
- Obtains and records appropriate personal, financial, and insurance information accurately
- Enters patient data into information systems completely and accurately
- Advises patients of financial responsibilities, necessary preparations, and transportation arrangements
- Communicates scheduling changes to technologists to ensure patient satisfaction
- Maintains an up-to-date database of current and potential referring physicians
- Provides backup coverage for front office team members as needed
- Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate departments or associates (St. Louis Park only)
- Pre-certifies exams with patient’s insurance company as required
- Verifies insurance for same-day add-ons
- Uses knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures requiring waivers to obtain authorization if needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Proficiency with computer systems and typing
- Able to handle a multi-level phone system with a high volume of calls
- One (1) year customer service experience preferred
- Medical terminology and previous clinical business office experience preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred

Pay
DailyPay implementation is contingent upon initial set-up period.
Schedule
Full-time position working 40 hours per week, shifts from 10:00am-6:30pm.
