About the role
Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is looking for a full-time experienced Scheduler to join our Greenwich/Rocky Hill Care Center. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut with over 30 Care Centers and a growing team. Responsibilities
- Provide a remarkable patient experience by scheduling procedure and office visit appointments following CTGI policy and scripting.
- Update insurance and demographic information when scheduling appointments and procedures; obtain cardiac clearance for patients scheduled for procedures where warranted and follow up to ensure the ASC has documentation.
- Assist with general office functions at the request of site supervisors or managers and support other CTGI staff members to ensure proper patient care and smooth office operations.
- Answer incoming phone lines, take clear and concise messages, compose, process, and follow up on electronic phone messages and alerts, and route messages to the correct provider or employee.
- Maintain familiarity with providers' preferred prep.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related experience; 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal; Epic experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and function well in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (required).
- Customer Service: 3 years (required).
- Ability to read and understand medical benefits and healthcare plans.
- Bilingual is a plus.

Performance Requirements for Level I Status
- Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
- Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.

Pay
From $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
