Job Responsibilities
- Affirms new hires in accordance with established payroll deadlines.
- Keys miscellaneous updates for existing employees.
- Establishes overtime flags for eligible employees.
- Runs simulations to ensure correct compensation before payroll deadlines.
- Verifies prior state employment for new hires and transferred employees.
- Sends state service verification forms to state agencies.
- Creates and files personnel files for all new hires.
- Processes all pay-affecting transactions in SCEIS.
- Scans and files all documentation related to keying of actions.
- Maintains SCEIS data to ensure accurate compensation and compliance.
- Executes PA actions as necessary.
- Makes annual Universal EPMS uploads and manual entries.
- Monitors BEX reports and Monthly Batch Reports.
- Conducts regular audits on SCEIS actions.
- Assists with providing guidance and training on SCEIS processes.
- Corresponds with employees, department heads, and external agencies.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret policies and procedures relevant to human resources.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and communicate effectively.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, data analysis, and SCEIS experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret SC State HR Regulations and demonstrate supervisory experience.
- Must have direct contact with youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
PREFERRED AGENCY REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 1 year of SCEIS experience.
