SCEIS Operations Lead
Job Responsibilities
Assists with the accurate entry of new hires in accordance with established payroll deadlines to prevent underpayment.
Affixes miscellaneous updates for existing employees.
Establishes overtime flags for eligible employees.
Runs simulations to ensure employees are being compensated correctly before payroll deadlines.
Sends state service verification forms to state agencies for transferred employees.
Creates and files personnel files for all new hires according to guidelines.
Processes all pay-affecting transactions in SCEIS, to include but not limited to promotions, demotions, reclassifications, salary adjustments, and reassignments.
Executes PA actions as necessary.
Scans and files all documentation related to keying of actions in a timely manner.
Maintains SCEIS data to include report monitoring to ensure employees are compensated accurately and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Executes annual Universal EPMS upload and manual entry.
Monitors BEX reports and Monthly Batch Reports to identify discrepancies or data integrity issues and take corrective action.
Conducts regular audits on SCEIS actions to ensure the agency is compliant with agency policies and state regulations.
Conducts audits on date entered into SCEIS.
Provides guidance and training to staff on SCEIS processes, policies, best practices, and compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
Corresponds with employees, department heads, and external agencies regarding SCEIS inquiries.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret policies and procedures relevant to the area of human resources.
- The ability to interact with all levels of management, communicate and work effectively with others.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel, data analysis, and experience in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).
- The ability to interpret the SC State HR Regulations as applicable to SCEIS transactions.
- Supervisory or lead experience in an operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 1 year of SCEIS experience.
