Operations Lead
About AIUC
Our mission is to underwrite superintelligence. We red-team, certify, and insure agents, such as ElevenLabs, UiPath, and Intercom. As agents take on critical roles in hospitals, banks, and governments, this could lead to abundance or catastrophic failure. History shows that standards and insurance are crucial for managing risk and shaping incentives. We've developed the gold standard for agent security and reliability, AIUC-1, with support from 100+ CISOs from the Fortune 1000. Our team includes professionals from Anthropic, McKinsey, METR, Weights & Biases, Perplexity, Thiel Fellowship, among others. We've raised $55m from investors like Ribbit, First Harmonic, and Nat Friedman. Learn more here, here, and here.
The role
We seek an individual who can serve as the operational backbone of AIUC and oversee how the business operates from first principles. This involves insourcing core operations, building necessary systems and financial controls, and eliminating inefficiencies.
In Practice
- Insource and own core operations — bring in-house the operational infrastructure, systems, and processes needed to keep AIUC running (vendors, contractors, legal, HR, etc.)
- Centralize spend and financial controls — consolidate vendors and spending, implement controls, and ensure transparency into financial matters
- Support recruiting and people operations — assist the team in hiring and onboarding as we expand our workforce across various departments
- Drive strategic finance and reporting — manage board reporting, financial planning, and the metrics used by leadership to guide the company's direction
- Identify and address inefficiencies — pinpoint areas where the company loses time or money and develop solutions to streamline operations
