About the role
Everett Ship Repair is seeking a Scaffolder Foreman to lead scaffold crews and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead scaffold crews during scaffold and containment operations
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, inspect, and remove environmental containment systems
- Assign daily work tasks and monitor productivity
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
- Inspect scaffold materials and completed work
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Train and mentor Apprentice and Journeyman Scaffolders
- Cookordination work with other departments and contractors
- Complete daily reports and documentation
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
Requirements
- 6+ years of scaffold experience with a minimum 1 year leading scaffold crews
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Strong knowledge of scaffold construction and containment systems
- Ability to coordinate multiple work activities simultaneously
- Excellent safety record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Advanced knowledge of scaffold construction
- Advanced knowledge of environmental containment systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to resolve field problems efficiently
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
Qualifications
- Competent Person for Supported Scaffolds
- Environmental Containment Competency Certification
- Forklift Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
- Respiratory Protection Training and Fit Test
- Incident Reporting and Investigation Training
