The Saturday Academy of Law (SAL) at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, is a program that provides ninth grade students with a unique opportunity to improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while learning more about the legal profession and higher education opportunities.
About the role
Uses skills as a seasoned and experienced legal professional to manage, plan and administer the operations of the Saturday Academy of Law Program with limited scope. Reports to Assistant Dean of Admissions and Student Financial Services.
Responsibilities
- Perform short- and long-term planning for the SAL Program.
- Supervise program coordinator and student employees and oversee and support SAL educators.
- Supervise attendees throughout program events including but not limited to program sessions, parent orientation, and closing ceremony.
- Manage all logistics for busing, Saturday sessions, parent orientation, and closing ceremony.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Requirements
Required Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
