SAP Test Data Management

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Test Data Management to modernize and simplify an enterprise SAP QA refresh and PII masking process. The architect will assess the current SAP ECC/S/4HANA and HANA refresh environment, evaluate SAP-native, commercial, and hybrid test data management solutions, and recommend a scalable target-state architecture. The role will lead the design of irreversible PII masking and consistent test data across SAP and integrated platforms, including Salesforce, MDM, and microservices. The architect will define on-demand data delivery and integration patterns using SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, Kafka, APIs, and SAP BODS, while establishing appropriate contract and end-to-end integration testing strategies. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years in test data or environment management architecture, with hands-on expertise in EPI-USE, SAP TDMS, Libelle, or similar tools. Strong experience with enterprise-scale SAP refreshes, HANA, data masking, system integration, vendor evaluation, architecture documentation, and stakeholder presentations is required. The consultant will also develop a practical implementation roadmap and knowledge-transfer/handover plan that enables the client's internal team to independently own and operate the solution. The Project: Client’s SAP QA refresh takes about 12 weeks a year, and 6–8 of those weeks go to masking PII with an aging custom process. That process, built 10–15 years ago by a team that has since left, struggles with HANA. Connected systems such as Salesforce, MDM and the Client’s microservices can no longer refresh at the same time, so test data falls out of sync. Client needs a simpler, faster approach its own team can own. Responsibilities: Assess the current refresh and masking flow and recommend 2–3 target options (SAP-native, a commercial test data management tool, or a hybrid), with trade-offs. Design masking that stays consistent across SAP and connected systems and can't be reversed, plus a way to copy smaller, linked subsets of test data. Define how other systems get masked data on demand (SAP Integration Suite, Kafka, APIs) instead of refreshing at the same time as SAP. Advise on the right mix of contract testing and end-to-end integration testing, and help compare vendors (EPI-USE, SAP TDMS, others). Produce a roadmap and handover plan Client’s team can own. Requirements: 12+ years in SAP, including 5+ years as an architect for test data or environment management. Has led ECC and S/4HANA (or Suite on HANA) refreshes and PII masking at enterprise scale. Hands-on with EPI-USE, SAP TDMS, Libelle or a similar tool. Working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, Kafka and SAP BODS. Strong at presenting options to client leaders and producing documentation clients can own. Nice to have: Delphix, K2view or Informatica TDM; contract testing (e.g., Pact); experience with SAP LaMa. Salary/Rate: $60-$80/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
