Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Define and implement master data governance frameworks, policies, and standards within SAP.
- Establish data ownership, stewardship models, and accountability structures.
- Lead data governance councils and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve data quality across domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, etc.).
- Develop and track KPIs and metrics related to data quality and completeness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and remediation of data issues.
- Oversee creation, maintenance, and retirement of SAP master data.
- Ensure adherence to data standards and naming conventions.
- Manage data workflows, approvals, and automation within SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, MDG, BTP).
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data processes.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives related to data management.
- Partner with business units (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, IT) to align data requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP master data processes.
- Provide training and guidance to data stewards and end users.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Support audit activities related to master data.
- Maintain documentation of processes and data governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Master Data Management or Data Governance.
- Strong expertise in SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, MDG, BTP).
- Knowledge of data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
- Project management experience (Agile, PMP, or similar).
- Prominent experience managing data quality frameworks and governance initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
