SAP Super User-Manufacturing
About the role
The SAP Manufacturing Super User is a critical resource supporting manufacturing execution functions. This role bridges the gap between functional teams and the technical SAP team, ensuring smooth operations, process alignment, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Map end-to-end planning processes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Standardize workflows across sourcing, production, demand, and supply planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs for SAP manufacturing functionalities.
- Act as a mentor and first point of contact for manufacturing teams.
- Support change management during SAP upgrades or process redesigns.
- Serve as the primary liaison for SAP-related issues within planning groups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and integration challenges.
- Escalate technical issues to IT and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices and optimize planning efficiency.
- Participate in testing new functionalities and validating system changes.
- Lead/Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for SAP upgrades and enhancements for the planning group.
- Validate configuration changes and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Document test results and communicate findings to technical and functional teams.
- Work closely with warehousing, manufacturing, quality, and planning teams.
- Partner with IT, procurement, commercial, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to align business and system needs.
Requirements
Required: Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP ERP in a operations environment, 5 years preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving methodology and skills. Preferred: Strong understanding of operational processes. Candidate requires knowledge in Basics of Operations Processes (Scheduling, Manufacturing Execution, Planning, Process execution, Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, etc.). Experience with SAP S/4HANA Understanding of Master Data Objects in SAP. Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking. Background in IT or extensive supply chain experience.
